Dr. Zavell performs rhytidectomy procedures using the Superficial Musculo Aponeurotic System (SMAS) technique. This technique involves lifting the muscular plane below the skin, which loosens and droops over time. Since the SMAS technique targets muscles rather than skin, you won't have to be afraid of your face looking tight, pulled, or unrecognizable post-procedure.

Facelift Aftercare Tips
Following your procedure, you may experience some discomfort and swelling. Dr. Zavell takes precautions to reduce these effects and can prescribe medication to relieve any pain. During the first few weeks of your recovery, you will attend follow-up visits with Dr. Zavell so he can monitor your healing and address any concerns you may have.
